Pitching staff questions.

Hey guys, I have a couple of pitching staff questions.

1. When I came into the game at the end of the 2004 season, I was under the impression that it is a bad thing to mix (*) pitchers with non-(*) pitchers, because it messes up your pitching staff. Now, I see quite a few people taking one or two (*) studs and three or four other starters to mix and match where they might be most effective. I was wondering if A) that is a reasonable allocation of money on your roster, and B) if that sort of rotation can be used in a plug-and-play sort of set up. I mean, if I just let the starters start, will HAL start (*) starters every four days without my setting per game starters, or would I have to go in an set that up?

2. On most of my teams, HAL completely neglects one or two of my relievers while completely taxing another couple. Is there any way that any of you know of that I can balance out the usage of my relievers?
