Entering their half of the ninth inning, the Twins rallied, scoring on Tim Laudner's 2 out base hit. Baltimore's Ken Griffey played the hero on the play, defying his "+1" outfield arm by firing a rocket throw to home, nailing Gary Gaetti trying to score the tying run. Gaetti had put his 1-14 running speed into full gear trying to score from second on the hit. Griffey made sure he didn't.

Elsewhere- Two Shutouts...
