Hi Redsux,

First, you draft some players with an 80 million dollar cap. After you pick some players you will join a league which will consist of 12 teams that were created by others online. Once the league fills up an auto draft will run. Let's say you picked David Ortiz in your draft but another owner also drafts him and gets him. You will get the next best available first baseman which might be Jim Thome.

When the season starts, there will be three games played a night. If you have changes to make to your lineups, pitchers and managing style, make them by 10pm EST in order for them to take effect for that night's games. I season lasts for about 2 months.

There's not a play vs computer option.

This game is a general manager game...Sounds like you are asking about playing the Strat computer version..Best to go to the Strat fan forum and ask there..Pretty much all computer version players there..along with some cards and dice players.
The computer version has evolved into a very good game, especially condusive for league play..Go to the strat home page and click on somworld, there is a link for the som fan forum...

This game is great also, although a totally different experience..
