Myself and two buddies would like to get in the same league but be in different divisions in an 80's league.

How can arrange for that to happen?

Does that mean I need to set up a private league?

Or how can i see that my buddies end up in a different division than I?

Well you could set up a private league but that isnt necessary. You just need to be on line at the right times. Buddy #1 jumps needs to be one of first 4 teams in. Then when that division closes, buddy #2 jumps in. Then the same for division 3. Leagues tend to fill in about a day. Sometimes 2 when its a Friday since that would be in time for a Monday start.

After you fill out your AD card and select a stadium your next step is to join a league. If you select "join private league" you get to see a listing of all public and private leagues to pick one to join. You probably want to join a public league so look for a league named TSN followed by numbers. On this page you can also see how many players are already in each league. You don't wan't to join a league that already has 8 or more teams in it already as you both cannot be in different divisions of that league.

Lets say buddy#1 joins a league that has 2 teams in it. Buddy#2 would fill out his AD card, select a stadium and then from time to time select "join private league" to check to see how many teams are in that league. When the number gets to 4 or more it is safe to join that league to make sure you are both in different divisions. Your AD card is saved. You don't have to fill it out again each time.

Out of curiosity, why do you want your buddies in different divisions? If they are in the same division you'd get to face them more often.

Myself and 2 buddies will be looking at joining a league next week as well. We also want to be in different divisions. We haven't decided 80's or ATG. Together we have, half a league if we join forces. How about we canvas this forum for some filler managers. Makes things a lot easier than trying to time our entries. Respond if interested.

First, let me say that we are buddies. Knocking heads in the same league is one thing. Knocking heads in the same division is entirely another. I'd prefer to stay friends.

I think that is great idea, da man. My Denver buddy has is AD lineup done. My local buddy is working on his. I haven't started mine yet.
I told my buddies today that I'd like to see us get the "paperwork" done and be entered into a league by Sunday night. I'd rather not rush to beat a deadline which might save a week but would crunch the experience. This is my 2nd league and one buddies 2nd and anothers first.

Let me know how Sunday night................say, 10:00 EST would work if we are going to try to time it. If you'd like to start a list, please go ahead and I can enter their info for them...........

OK Guys, We have 6 teams in a new open league and looking for 6 more to fill it out. No special rules, except that myself and 2 freinds have a spot reserved in each division and beckjor has himself and 2 friends, reserved spots in each division. Hopefully we can fill over the weekend and load teams before next Friday.
