5 finals and 6 semi's with nothing to show for it in 2007.

Made it to the semi's 3X in the TTY's with the same result.

I'M LOOKING FOR A MGR. IN A 50's thru 60's STRAT-O-MATIC SIMULATION LEAGUE AS WELL AS IN THR FODL ( FIELD OF DREAMS LEAGUE) WHICH IS A 70's thru 80's League.

GARBO ( Golden Anniversary Retro Baseball Organization), an association of 16 members playing 50 year old seasons of the Strat-O-Matic baseball simulation game, currently playing 1956, is looking for a manager to takeover the CLEVELAND INDIANS franchise.

Each member of GARBO owns and operates one of the 16 actual major league baseball franchises for the season in play. Each franchise will be assigned to the same league as in MLB. There There are no fee or dues assessed to members but each member is required to own the most current version of the SOM game and the roster disks for the current season in play plus a minimum of 3-5 future seasons. GARBO duplicates the MLB schedule of that year as it was actually played.

GARBO managers play their road games and home team manager can have the computer manager run his team or can arrange to net play his games.
Games are set up in blocks of 1 to 2 weeks at a time and can usually be completed in less than a couple of hours.

Each manager has a roster of 40 with 25 active players. There are player usage rules and at the end of the season each manager cuts down to 18. There is a draft of players for the next season based on players not on a current roster. Each manager may elect to pass on their 1st rd, pick and select a rookie from their franchise prior to the beginning of the rookie draft.

Once again, currently GARBO is looking over an experienced Strat-O-Matic manager to takeover the Cleveland Indians in the year 1956. Anyone interested will need to respond to this and I will put them into contact with our commissioner. Any manager responding should be aware there is a constitution and that a commitment to play to 1965 would be expected.

The manager will takeover this Franchise which is currently in 1st Place.

reverse order of leaderboard if we do a 2 round draft. If not we can draft as soon as someone in the east creates the league.

btw, the draft would be NON-serpentine, i.e. football style.

Looking at the prices I will have $53.89 Mil tied up in A-Rod, Konerko, A. Ramirez, Sheff, Pierre, C. Lee, Peavy, Beckett and Penny leaving me $1.53 Mil to spend on the rest of the team. Looks like another long season :oops: SGT D
