What do you guys think about this trade? Would really improve my team or hurt me too much at SS?

You give up:
Perez, Neifi (1,050,000)
Jeter, Derek (6,860,000)
Vazquez, Javier (1,590,000)

Other team gives up:
Eckstein, David (1,690,000)
Zambrano, Carlos (7,820,000)

vasquez is 8-4 for you with a decent era i dont think zambrano will improve on that much at all you will be basically losing jeter and getting very little in return

If I were the other guy and you accepted my offer...I'd be pretty happy. :)

I think sometimes people send one-sided trade offers sometime just to get negotiations going. Then again, sometimes they send them cuz they think the person will bite on a bad deal.

Thanks all.

That is what my gut told me also. My team has been playing pretty well lately. Then of course got swept last night. had won 11 of last 15 prior to last night. And Vasquez had won 4 in a row and going in game 1 tonight. He has been awesome (especially for the $).

Strange how we match up at times. Against team in 1st place in my division I am 11-4 and against team in 2nd above me (3rd) I am 6-12 now (after last night).

IMO the only $7 mil+ SP are sheets,RJ, and santana....so i wouldnt make the deal........

zambrano is nice and all..but you can find someone much cheaper, like vasquez , and get about the same for aLOT less

schmidt

Postby rgimbel » Fri Jan 13, 2006 8:18 pm

rj all by himself
santana in second by himself
after that i would put schmidt ahead of sheets with the other the other four clemens zambrano schilling and oswalt a waste of money. although schilling can be ok in a pitchers park
