Change your ballpark after the draft

Postby The Biomechanical Man » Wed Mar 05, 2008 9:41 pm

I agree with the other postings. It's a bad idea to allow stadium switching up until the season begins. This is especially true in leagues with unlimited free agent talent (such as $60m leagues in 2007 or $80m leagues in ATG).

If TSN feels the need for stadium switching after the draft (for the live draft, or for other reasons), I'm okay with something like a 24-hour period after the draft is run.

I concur with the above

I have always been in your corner Bernie but I have to agree with the others. I like the idea of changing ballparks but 1 day after the wavier picks should be enough time to make the change. I have picked a basher park and got none of my sluggers but I can make the change in one day.

[quote:911518f68e="bernieh"].....It was necessitated by the fact that the new Live Draft does not support selecting a ballpark during the draft [b:911518f68e](yet)[/b:911518f68e].......[/quote:911518f68e]

I suggest making it a priority to allow the Live Drafters the ability to select a BP during the draft.

I'm still going to build to my park but the switching park shenanigans takes away some pre-season strategizing.

Terrible Option

Please add my vote to the others...really bad idea to allow stadium changes up to the last day...makes it impossible to tailor your team to your division or league opponents...practically begs for abuse.

it's only a great addition for people who would rather game the game than play the game

Bernie, I have great admiration for the job you do, but this is a terrible idea. You've set it up so that the smart move will be to switch stadiums at the last minute so opponents have no chance to adjust. You've (badly) corrected a live draft problem at the expense of your great game.

Hey everyone. I'll take this into consideration in the morning. I think it's easy to change back, if that's the action to take, but let's sleep on it.
