Vets vs. Rooks league chat

Yeah it was a rough night for me lastnight in Strat, Penn forces game 7 and my 80's team which decided to start out the season going 4-14 is still struggling to get back to .500 with a current record of 18-24. Talk about trying to dig yourself out of a hole!

when I am not in it...But I enjoyed this league so much, I followed it all the way thru. Could it have been any better? GL Ty and Penn.

It is definitely fun to win a league that you create. I won a LOTO title last year and 1 this year. And to beat one of the very best players(If you are able) is extremely satisfying.

My initial motivation for LOTO was to create a very simple format with interesting twists for an autodraft. It has always been by invitation and not open to the entire SOM public. The reason for this had nothing to do with snobbery or exclusivity, but to keep out players that were uncool, unfriendly, extremely shy, outwardly abusive, dishonest or uncompetitive(ie. not paying any attention if they fall behind early).

The only other requirement was that I had either played in a league with someone before and enjoyed their company or that they came recommended by other trusted friends in the community.

I think around 35 players have played LOTO at some time or other now. And in 06' i will expand it to 48 players. But if everyone I invite actually plays, then it could be as many as 60...Should be a lot of fun. Iknow the members of this group are going to add even more life to a very lively group.

This has been truly a League of great competitors who are very cool, chatty and fun to play with. SWP

Penngray and Tyber Good Luck tonight in your game 7 showdown !!
Those Canucks have a scary offense, but Tyber your team was the
"Road Warriors" this season, seems your playing this game where you
would want to, "away". How fitting that this league final series goes to
a 7th game.

I'll see both you guys in the Central (lucky me, I'll be a league door-mat !!) in the LOTO league. :(

Gentlemen.... Play Ball !!! may the best team win.

Congrats Penn - On yet another Championship...Tyber, my condolences. At least it was against as good as it gets. Tough when up 3-1 tho. It has happenned to me at least 3-4 times in Finals series.

Take solace in the great league you created and start plotting your revenge in LOTO.

Bigmahon has signed on. Only 1 spot left and we draft tomorrow. Riggo seems to be MIA lately. I sent an invite to Play By the Rules - Who missed out on the Tourney.

Hopefully we draft manana. SW

Yeah I'm bummed that the team gave back a 3-1 advantage. I guess my team just was too worn out after all those extra inning games? Guess that means that my trainer is gonna get a nice little pinkslip in his mailbox this morning.

Hat's off though to Penn for putting together one helluva tough team. Congrats Penn!

Looks like it's back to the drawingboard to build a better Penn...Errr...Mousetrap.

Now that this league is done we'll need to start a LOTO III Consolation League chat thread.

Hey my hat's off to you Penn! That was a great feisty a$$ team you put together. I'm not gonna hold a grudge...That reminds me Penn, think nothing of the steel cage that is gonna descend during every series we play in the coming season. No grudge, no grudge at all.  8)
