Since I didn't put any language in the rules about how supplemental picks are to be assigned because of unbalanced trades during drafts, I thought I would do it now. This is just a housekeeping type rule change - and is based on language in the other keeper leagues we're a part of.

Let me know your votes - Yeah or Nay, or you can either propose your own preference or modify the language below if you'd like and we'll vote on that.

Current rule: None

Proposed rule: Supplemental draft picks

As indicated earlier, I used the resources available to me. When I see the "provisional list", I took that as my resource to save time rather than browse everybody's roster. I do this in an effort to save time on my end due to RL circumstances which prevent this draft from getting as much attention as I would normally give it.

This draft is great. The owners are great too. Just looking for a little slack. I did not miss my 3 hour clock when I made my pick, yet I was given some flack for taking a while to post (about 2 hr 40 minutes if my math is correct). Coupled that with the fact that since I saw Kazmir on my radar for a few days, I never bothered to look for an alternate. Granted I would have if either he was not on the updated list, or if somebody had taken him prior to my pick.

Owners too should check the FA list to make sure that none of their players are on it to avoid this in the future. I know that I will while I eat my lunch in my office later.

Sykes,

I only made MY comment (about taking time) in response to your OWN about "soory fro the delay" and I said it tounge-in-cheek.

But, without even CHECKING the FA list, I knew as soon as I saw that you slected Kazmir that it had to be a mistake. He has had a card since 2005 so I knew there was way he could have been untaken last fall.

RE: My own pick right now -- I need to wait for a response from Casey before I can pick, as it will impact my pick.

fine by my - I just wonder - Sykes, you do understand that part of our resources is a roster list, right?

My apologies as well if I came over the top here. I feel your pain Sykes, our kid turns 2 today, and he was REAL sick this time last year, in hospital for a week. Good luck to you & the family.
