Mark Langston, $1.66 m, throws a 1-0 no-hit victory. He definitely earned his paycheck for you!

I drafted Langston on my first 3 teams trying to catch lightning in a bottle as you did...I ended up with a bic lighter in a tin can....he is getting rocked for me on all teams.

BTW...back in the day when we played this 86 set face to face...Walt Terrel vintage 86 tossed the only no-no in our entire 7 year league history.

I had Danny Jackson come close with a one hitter.

I'm actually getting pretty "decent" results with Langston at the back end of my rotation.

Decent being a relative term. Heck...he's $1.66.

Mostly in pitching to neutral parks.

In Oakland: 8-5, 3.26 ERA / 1.20 WHIP :D :D
In Busch: 1-4, 5.58 ERA / 1.88 WHIP
In Candlestick: 3-1, 3.27 ERA / 1.22 WHIP :D :D
In Oakland: 6-7, 3.48 / 1.38 :D
In Olympic: 7-5, 3.70 / 1.50 :)
In Kingdome: 5-7, 6.49 / 1.77 :(
In Fenway: 6-7, 4.87 / 1.69 :(

Danny Jackson actually had a near no hitter in 1986 -- broken up with an out in the ninth, I think. Who says SOM doesn't imitate real life?

2 No Hitters

Postby chasenally » Mon Mar 24, 2008 10:21 pm

I was thinking about posting a thread to list no hitters. I had 2 early on then no more. Mike Scott and Kirk McCaskill. Langston has been very good for me and beats me alot. I have 6 teams with a 124-107 record :D

Do you get any more hard luck than Sid Fernandez for your opponent? Wow. 4.12 isn't an ERA I expect to accompany a 1-7 recond. The man struck out 8, allowing 1 run on 5 hits in 7 2/3 innings, and took the loss. I'd be ticked.

I know I had the most [u:3ad5123f52]expensive[/u:3ad5123f52] no-hit pitcher when Roger Clemens threw one for me!
