Let's get the Champions League Off the Ground-check in here

Patience boys!

Barring some sort of minor miracle, the league won't be getting started until Monday the 30th anyway. That leaves us plenty of time to run the draft at a pace that will accomodate everyone.

I'm quite sure we are all pretty committed to this one.

TeePack, thank you for accepting to commish this league. Are you really sure you want to get involved?

i vote no clock at all times also. no matter what i vote no clock on weekends -- people who are going away can't change plans, EVEN IF it is the tour finals.

I agree with Riggo, no clock is asking for problems. Being considerate of others is a 2-way street. I'd rather be skipped than be a drag for everybody else.

Since opinions seem to be all over the map, looks like our Commish needs to make a call.

I think his suggested compromise of 4hr clock (yawn) and one skip is reasonable. Maybe limit the one-skip exception to once per manager, with a mandatory 2nd skip after, say, 24hrs. Clock off on weekends is standard, tho I have more problems with access on workdays. Beyond that, I trust Tee to make any exceptions he deems necessary and fair for special circumstances.

I'd never rush to skip anybody, but I'd also favor a mandatory skip anytime 3 or more managers vote for it on the boards.

It's the Tour Finals, so I agree it's extra important to try to accommodate individual situations. But it's no less important to accommodate the group by keeping the draft from becoming an endlessly interrupted tedious bore.

SC is fine by me.

I prefer a 2hr clock, as I do not think any particular round actually matters in determining the outcome of the league..I will go with whatever the consensus might be...

Can I have Cristano and FunkyNY in my division? :P

I'm going to pick Randy Johnson. :D

I'm not wholly opposed to trading him, but it'd be expensive. If you really, really want him, let me know via email at elerner@lerner-cumbo.com.

Good luck.

Cristano, you once offered me your entire team for this guy. :D

How far are you willing to go to get my pick?

ie. We'd swap 1st and 2nd round picks, but are you willing to swap 4th rounders, 6th rounders, etc, also?
