[quote:b45854cc3b="ehlekev"][b:b45854cc3b]January Theme: 2007 Season

$80M - Waivers - 5/10/20 - Advanced - DH
Divisions determined by Lottery

[u:b45854cc3b] 1. Must pick 1 of 2 Stadiums:[/u:b45854cc3b] (don't reveal until league is full)
*For those of you who know how to see the stadiums before the league starts.....DON'T. We're on the honor system*
Kaufman
US Cellular

2. You must have 15 players on your roster at all times who hit 10 or more Homeruns during the 2006 regular season. No more than 15 hitters and no less than 15 hitters with 10 or more HRs.

3. Cannot have ANY pitchers on your roster with an ERA under 4.00.

4. Since it's been in single digits and below zero for much of my first December here in Minneapolis, I am boycotting Minnesota. You CANNOT have any Twins players on your team at all during the whole season (the only exception is in rule 5).

5. Finally, since I still have a few inches of snow in my yard that will never ever go away.....everyone MUST have JT "Snow" on your draft card at #25 (honor system enforced again). If you get him, you will have to keep him on your roster the whole season. Here is the twist: If you end up with JT Snow, you get your choice of picking 1 of any of the Twins player.....(except for a pitcher with an ERA under 4.00). There are no requirements about keeping this Twins player on your roster.

That's all! Anyone know when we want to start this league? The holidays are going to mess things up a little, so I'm open to whatever.

Happy Festivus!

JANUARY 7th should be opening day as it is the first Monday in Jan. This gives everyone a chance to get thru the holidays

Status of Bob Schwartz

Postby rschwartz51 » Tue Dec 18, 2007 2:30 am

I'm leaving on a cruise for 9 days and will be out of the country. I'm not sure if the start time allows me to play as I won't have time to do this prior to leaving.

If you need to fill my spot I think you should so as I'm a bit burned out with ATG3 and though I enjoy this league's managers I'm not thrilled with Themes that I would describe as a bit off the wall. I'm probably tired but as you can tell I'm not in the spirit that this Theme League is supposed to exhibit.

I felt the purpose of this league was to get us into all the various games rather than just making up various scenarios to make the putting of a team difficult at times.

:D :) :( :o  :? 8-) :x :P       :!: :?:   :|

As you can see, I am torn to where these thems were to go. My thinking was any theme and any year. I am getting burned out myself in ATG3, but the only year I seem to do good is 2001.

Really, I just like beating up on Kev and Andrew... everthing else is gravy.

Have a good time Bob.... I am okay if we wait.

Bob thinks my theme is off-the-wall! :(  I thought that was the definition of the theme. Compared to Doc and his fanticism, my theme is boring. 8-)

Andrew, thanks in regards to posting the States for the lottery. I'll figure out the Pick 3 thing and pick a night.
I hope Bob has a great cruise. My Caribbean cruise earlier this year was awesome. I'm a little jealous that Bob is off cruising somewhere warm and tropical, while I'm stuck in a Minnesota winter!

Hi everyone (whoever is still actually checking the message boards these days). I am flying out later tonight to Idaho so my computer access will be limited for the next few days.
I think we can use Saturday night's (tonight) Pick 3 to at least get divisions squared away. I won't be around tomorrow, but I will be happy to post the division assignments sometime next week.... unless I hear any volunteers to post the divisions tomorrow.

Back from New Orleans - still a GREAT city. Talked to alot of restaurant and hotel people - SAD - they tell me business is only at about 30% of what it was before Katrina! Drove thru the 9th ward - "WOW", shows what mother nature can REALLY do - also took a road trip to Biloxi Mississippi - alot of work to do along there to!! All 'n all people seemed to have a "great" spirit about the comeback of the region!!! If your going on vacation CONSIDER New Orleans, they still need us - and the inner city with the french quarter is FINE!! Tom.

BTW - going to put my team together this afternoon - the rest of my teams fell apart while I was gone! How 'bout that December totm team??
