turtle...no good deed goes unpunished. I purposely read as little as possible of it so it would be as covert as possible, so I didn't get to that last line about not sharing it. sorry, I was trying to honor your privacy. it probably hasn't been opened since we seem to keep getting stuck on the same people over and over. the opening line about if you're not on within an hour or so, use them, is the same for me. you can always skip me too if its more than an hour and I haven't notified anyone in advance.

btw, I never open any proxies unless I actually need to use them, so there are alot more unopened proxys in my inbox than used ones...for instance, Al must have half a dozen that Ive never seen, because he's always been around to make his pick.
PLEASE, let's try to be down to just a pick or two by Friday morning. the anxiety of everyone loading their teams, in order, and by midnight eastern on friday is way too stressful. that means we need to average about 2-1/2 picks apiece weds and thurs to load by friday. that shouldn't be that tough....

Its cool, meat, not like we went anywhere on the draft anyway and My No.1 guy still managed to get picked.

My list is still good, though, if I am not around.

I should be in and out all day tomorrow, between me and you we should not miss my picks.

That's my policy too.

No proxy would be opened unless needed, and browser adjusted to read only one line at a time. I just want to be another option if it helps keep the draft moving. I have been playing with you guys long enough that I hope trust wouldn't be an issue :D

Proxy policy

Postby TomSiebert » Wed Apr 02, 2008 5:04 am

Worry not, Turtle. I too do not open a proxy list unless necessary, though Calbatross's clue about using the browser to limit viewing is a good one -- I've always preferred the "skip ten lines between proxy picks" theory.

Turtle's Up

Postby Al Hogg » Wed Apr 02, 2008 9:06 am

Meat on the West Coast probably isn't up yet, though, to put in his proxy.

If you're in SGT D's division (Mark, Turtle, Jason), start drafting those righty-killer pitchers! (You might start thinking about giving Durantjerry an offer for Shawn Hill.)

I note that Jamesgang77 also has put together a full batting lineup:

2B - Roberts (S) - .377 .432
1B - Loney (L) - .381 .538
LF - Holliday (R) - .405 .607
DH - Stairs (L) - .368 .549
CF - Rowand (R) - .374 .515
C - Martinez (S) - .374 .505
RF - Griffey (L) .372 .496
SS - Tulowitski (R) .359 .479
3B - Zimmerman (R) .330 .458

I just picked

Postby kramed77429 » Wed Apr 02, 2008 9:27 am

Nick Swisher, crappy arm but a switch-hitting outfielder that I needed. I will check in throughout the day, but someone shoot me an email at mark.siebert@cox.com when I'm back up

Thanks for the pick, Tom. I will be out of the loop until about 3:30 or 4 today please continue to use the same list during that time.

I'll be at my computer for the most part until about 3:30 or so today. I expect the pick will get back to me momentarily (which means either "in a moment" or "for a moment"). I can take proxies for a bit.

Staff set; Burrell too OBA happy to pass up

Postby TomSiebert » Wed Apr 02, 2008 11:16 am

So I now have two LF's who can't field -- actually one that doesn't field well, while the other simply can't field at all  -- but four guys with OBA of .400+ and a SS who should make a few extra outs that they'll miss.

Nice to see Al counterattack my all-RH staff with Thome, who will hopefully get hurt a lot. Still some work to do, obviously, but I'm liking the Bang Bang Kiss Kiss so far. :)
