Dropping should be your LAST resort. First--make sure you know what your weaknesses are for your team within your division. Then try to trade, preferably to someone outside your division. Then if all else fails and things are clearly not going well after 30-40 games, get value for your money through drops. Point is when you drop, it should only be if:
- you've given a chance for some statistical trends (read as wekanesses) to "bubble up"
- you know exactly what you need (i.e., power hitting lefty who hits righties with at least xx OB and xx TB etc)
- you've tried to trade for your need--exhaustively
I just mean don't drop someone becasue they are in a slump--make sure you know what you need because you're getting a lesser player in return--so the move needs to be the right one.
Cheers
