Is there any penalty to dropping only 10 or 11 players rather than 15? If I choose to keep 30 players (dropping 10), and someone else keeps 25, the extra five aren't considered to be my first five draft picks or anything, are they?

no penalty.. just means you will stop drafting sooner....

The draft order is based on the combined seasons results with the last champion choosing last { sorry DT }
