Any opinions on this team are greatly appreciated. I play in dodger 65. Other teams in my division are Fenway 67, Fenway 46 and Baker.

Other stadiums team in league are Fenway 46, Dunn. Yankee 56, Baker, Forbes, Bennett 09, and 2 yankee 27.

Initial impressions are that this is a good team. Here are some suggestions:
* Lose Brazle & pick up a * SP for that 4th slot. Boyd, Drysdale, Cuellar & Nolan are viable options.
* You should consider lightening up the $$ allocated to the bullpen. $3M invested there would look good invested toward a # 1 SP.
* Covington is good in his place, but not on this team. Clemente would look great in RF for you & allow Shoeless Joe to place his best defensive position.
* You could also do better at C. Gibson would be ok, Dempsey if you want to concentrate on D. I'd also consider other options at 2b, $$ willing.
Again, a very good team potentially. Obvious you put time into that draft card!

Thanks, I was thinking the same about the bullpen $'s. I'm not sold yet on getting rid of Covington. I'll have to think that one over.

Diamond Dope comparsion, RC in Dodger '65 (L/R):

Covington 6.13/9.10
Clemente 14.38/8.54

That's before considering Wes's 4D with a +3 noodle versus Roberto's 1D & that -5 cannon.
Are you & Wes related by chance?

Rolfe would give you a quality lefty bat at 3b if that's the consideration re dropping Covington (though Steinfeldt is an excellent value there as well.)
Good luck whatever you decide,

Thanks again for the help. Really appreciate it. (I could be related to covington. My arm is about +10)

My two cents...

Dean and Hughson and Cuellar are fine. I typically would only use McGregor in Dunn or Yankee 56. You can do better. Hunter or Grant would be good value choices for your park. So would Boyd and Knepper if they are available. My main parks lately are Fenway 86 and Dodger 65. The best thing about Dodger 65 is you can get cheap pitchers who give up #'s but few hits or walks otherwise. And they will be very effective at home. Cuellar is a superb example. Dean and Hughson are less suited for your park but Dean is arguably the best value pitcher in any park aside from the guys under 1 million. So if I can get him I'll take him anywhere. But I prefer him in Baker etc.

In that vein, I like Staley when in Baker or parks of that ilk. His value is lessened greatly in your park. I would suggest picking up Henke or Henry if available. I would try to lose Morgan. Hal will use him more than you like and quite frankly he sucks.

As for your offense, I think it should be illegal to play Shoeless Joe anywhere but lf. Covington is a disaster for your park unless he is a dh. You desperately need to get rid of Covingtion and get a RF, preferably with great D. If the obvious guys are taken consider Dwight Evans. I used him for the first time in ATG II on a team that finished last night. I'll post the team. He didn't have great offensive numbers but he contributed and the team at least made the playoffs with a two man starting staff and a 3.81 e.r.a. in Polo. I batted him second against righties and platooned him with Brouhard against lefties although he was slated to come in defensively in late innings. Kaline is also a consideration.

The second team is an example of a pitching staff suited for your park. Check out Henry's performance: 0.00 era after 78 games. And note also Perranoski's performance. He is not really suited for the park, I just like him too much. And I'm paying the price...

ok. I made some changes. I picked up Clemente for RF and JoJo Moore as a backup. I also switched Henry and Staley. What do you think of Pattin for Morgan?
