Injury Parameters - ?

Postby Risden » Sat Jan 21, 2006 12:27 pm

I always thought that 650 Regular-Season Plate Apperances would allow a player to misses only the remainder of a curent game due to injury. I believe that was the plateau used in ATG & ATG II.

But, in a current league, Lee May just went down for 3 games. He had 652 PA's with the 1969 Reds (602 AB & 45 BB).

Was I wrong about the 650 PA's?

Last time I checked 602 + 45 = 647 not 652. Not that it matters because it is 680 at bats + walks to only get injured for rest of the game.

Oops. Actually Lee May had 607 AB plus 45 BB = 652 PA. I gotta hire a proofreader. :?

Either way, 680 is the magic number as verified by two trusted members.

Thanks!!
