Avoiding Left/Right Handed Batters

Avoiding Left/Right Handed Batters

Another question for the forum: What happens when you click avoid L or R handed batters on your pitcher's virtual card? For example, I have Ray King, a southpaw. If I click avoid righty batters on his strategy, does that mean HAL will never throw him against a right handed batter, or does HAL use an IBB to get to the next left handed batter or what? How does HAL respond to clicking or not clicking one of these boxes.

We've wondered about this before. I think that nobody really knows. Some believe that it is only applicable to relief pitchers. I don't really know.

i think it relates to the IBB setting. if i set to avoid lefties, i presume that its more likely hal will Ibb a lefty than pitch to him. thats all folks
