I did somewhat abuse the system because as long as it was free I created teams but I brought friends along for the ride that had never played strat and some are becoming paying customers Is that abuse or promotion I think we should get credit for all teams created in good faith

Yes, you did exactly what they should have wanted us to do. You brought new blood into the game. I have been doing the same thing! I have already got about five of my friends playing and paying. For this we deserve credit for all our teams!

A reply from Bernie would be nice. All the 86 teams should count. The change in 86 counting seems to be just an angry response to Grindi. Hell, if you need to, seperate the 86 points obtained during the free promotional and put an asterisk next to it.

Give in Bernie, do the right thing, and don't penalize the rest of us. We are here to stay. We will keep on pumping money into the game, and we will continue to spread the Strat gospel.

I personally promise to buy 2 five packs promptly. I swear I would not have done that anyhow :lol:

Perhaps they should count all the teams, but with diminishing returns. For example, if you have 5 teams (or less), they count normally. If you have 10 teams they all count, but your points would be factored down so they are only worth, say, about 8 teams. And if you have 20 or more teams, they all count but they factored so they are all worth 10 teams.

Every team counts; but no one overpowers the ratings with free teams. Also, there would be no controversy as to which teams are counted. It won't satisfy those who want it all, of course, but it seems a fairer compromise.

Paid 1986 teams would count full value, of course, above and beyond whatever you earn for your free teams.

That sounds like a viable plan. Done on a curve, due to diminishing returns,it factors out those that drafted, say, 50 + teams. GOOD IDEA.

A team is a team is a team - a winning record by anyother name would smell as sweet - yet my team with a real shot at 100 wins will never hit my record under the current system - :( :x :evil: :evil:
of course - now the team will end the season 5-25 and I might limp in as a wild card (83-49 with 30 to play!)

I feel your pain, I have five free teams that might never count for me, and all of them are playoff bound.(Well at least four of the five) I wish Bernie would let all of our teams count!

Just count 10, 15 or 20 for everyone. I feel the pain too. My 6th team is on its way to 100 wins and my 7th team is looking at 115 or 120 (34-14 thusfar).
