Any other observations from you guys out there with the disc? Or are you keeping it all for yourselves? Give a poor brother a little love, would ya'? I know you've spent all weekend studying it (it's what I would've done).

Hendrix - what are Michael Young's and Jimmy Rollins' defensive ratings? Actually, if you don't mind, could you go through all the SS (the important one's anyway) ratings?

As an FYI-

If you ordered your ratings disk and 2005 cards/CD rom at the SOM online store, you will not get your ratings disk shipped until your CDROM/Cards are shipped after the 27th.

I found this out the hard way and had to call SOM again to pay for shipping of the ratings disk seperate.

P.S. I wonder how much Hal Richman would be willing to sell his franchise for. The guy who answers the phone in Glen Head really could use a class in phone answering skills. After reading that NY Times article, I'm confident I could probably put together investors to move operations from Glen Head to Hoboken and not have to change a thing except market the product better.

I grew up in Sands Point NY and used to bike over to the office in Glen Head each year to buy my cards. I was always amazed at how small that place really is. Such potential for even greater success beyond making a great product there.

smitty,

The ranges were posted a while back - about page 5 or 6 of this forum. What I'm doing until I get my disk is assume that the e-rating is a straight factor of how many errors they made extrapolated over 162 games (approx.). So I had Tejada at 2e22 and Young will probably be 3e18, Rollins 2e12 or close to it. I know Young is a 3 and Rollins is a 2 because I agonized over it before taking Tejada in our precard draft. I just couldn't pull the trigger on Young as a 3.

Thanks sleeze - I am going over that right now, I'll have to look for that thread to see what the other options out there will be. There are still some big power guys left that I may not be able to pass over.

Do it Sykes. Seriously. It doesn't sound like Richman's ids are too gung-ho, despite SOM paying the bills for the fam.

Hire me as customer service/sales coordinator. I have many years experience in this area, and know the importance and value of just simply being polite for God's sake.
