Theme League 69' Ultimate manager challenge

Postby LARRYLANG » Tue Jan 24, 2006 4:48 pm

Here is a theme idea I would like to try if the interest is there. Rules:

Only the bottom 12 teams may be used (based on W-L record) which include the following teams:Seattle-KC-Montreal-San Diego-California-Houston-LA-Boston-Cleveland-Philadelphia-NY Yankees-Washington. These team will be broken down into the following divisions:

East:

Cleveland 62-99
Philadelphia 63-99
NY Yankees 80-81
California 71-91

Central:

Washington 86-76
Houston 81-81
Los Angeles 85-77
Boston 87-75

West:

Seattle 64-98
KC 69-73
Montreal 52-110
San Diego 52-110

Lotto for team draft position. May only use players from your selected team and must use their home stadium. Teams will be called their real names. No trades and no need for waivers. The Red sox and the Cardinals had the same record but I excluded STL because of the pitching difference with the sox. 80 Mil--DH. I realize the central is the better teams so I put them in the same div to beat up on each other. I placed the four expansion teams in the same division to give them all a decent chance. Playing more within their div they should have a decent shot at bettering their records and being able to compete. I think this would be a very competitive league and would be alot of fun. Make sure to include your lotto state. Let's get it rolling:

1. Pelzer SC

Hey all---If you haven't played with this group of managers I promise you you will have a great time. Expect a lot of interaction and bring your game face cause these guys are good (with the exception of me). If you are contemplating throwing down another 25.00 or have a credit to get rid of, come and join us. I guarantee you it will be the funnest league you've ever been in. 6 more and we draft.

Think I'm kidding about the first 6 managers being good---Check this combined record out. Playoff appearances total: 153-----------Championships total: 39 Can you beat these guys???? It'll cost you $24.95 to find out. Not trying to scare away the rookies but if you are new you can learn alot with these guys. And the tips are free.
