i have. mine is off a bit as well but has been normalizing. Alas my friend, there is no crying in baseball. There is only posting the success of your adversaries on the boards in the slim hopes you can jinx them.

Also if I were you, I would have just posted the difference instead of prompting the other owners to go and look. Why, you ask? because the same page that shows exactly how unlucky you are also shows your Achilles heel.

 :P

I laugh now but it is only masking my misery as I have traded away Yunel Escobar and Matt Kemp in order to try make a go of it this year and it looks, at least at his point, fruitless. And they look, at least at this point, like All-Stars.

I have definitely been keeping my eyes on her.I have won 17 of 21 games and havent been able to increase my lead on her because [b:52c49ffcc4]SHE HAS ALSO WON 17 of 21  [/b:52c49ffcc4].All I would need is another HCKL meltdown and I will be in therapy for years.

Tell me about it - I got crushed in the gears of the "Machine" last night. Battered, bloody and absolutely shell-shocked...

Bump!

Huge sweep for us of AK's team last night. I think it's the 1st time we've been more than 2 gms ahead.

KD - are rosters now open for expansion?

Well, looks like I locked up the East last night. The div went pretty much as I expected, with me lucky to be in a not-so-strong grouping, but I got a strong challenge from AK as I thought I might.

The playoffs are almost set, with the WC still up for grabs. Smokey & Casey neck & neck right now, should be a fun finish.

Casey, forgive me for rooting against you - I'm 8-4 against Smokey & 4-5 vs. your squad!

Oh BTW Niners, on your whine about Wang (LOL) sorry but you have no one to blame but yourself, or more specifically, your park. Wang has no HRs on his card and only gave up 9 in 199 IP in real life. In that bandbox you call home, he gave up 15 HRs in 86 IP. So we know that a ton of those were BP HRs, likely at least 2/3 of them. If those are outs instead of hits, his H/IP would drop a ton. You still got probably 10% more HR than you should expect, but his natural WHIP is high enough to make a "snowball" effect very likely in your park.

What I mean is in real life, in many cases he gets a runner or two on base with 2 outs & gets a flyball out to end the inning. In your park the flyball might be a HR, which extends the inning. And with his WHIP on the high end for "elite" SPs, the chances that he gives up another hit or BB are higher than say, Harang, which in turn gives him more chances to have a follow-up BP HR hit against him....

Moral of the story? It might be better, even in your park, to trade 1 or 2 pts of BP HRs for .1 or .2 of WHIP improvement. Just my 2 cents...

LOL! No problem rooting against my "machine" The Big Red is hardly racing to the finish line!

Good luck to smokey on the race to the finish line!

Ninersphan, Charlie left with me all his notes on strat-o-matic which I've been using to run my teams. He spent a lot of time observing "bad luck" and found some patterns that indicate its not only bad luck and he has some notes on how to reverse the "bad luck". I've analyzed Wang's stats and Charlie's observations fit to a T. I'll ask him if its OK to share his insights and if he's OK with it I'll send you an email with some thoughts from his notes. Least I could do for heping me with your league files.

Casey.
