I really want to take time to thank TSN for a great debut to the 1986 Season with the TAKE TWO replay. Not only was it a nice way to create excitement for a new game, it had all the energy and realism you find in baseball right down to the potential three-way tie in the NL East.
What was great about that pennant race was how the Cards bested the Cubs on the final day of the season in true Strat fashion, with a scrub hitter squibbing a SS-X single through the infield for the winning run. Not only was it a defensive hit, it was able to get through because the SS (Dunston) loss a grade while holding the winning run on base.
Wonderful effort.
