Why don't we compromise and go 6 rounds as PM770 suggests? I, too am going on vacation. June 10th. I will probably have no computer access from the 10th to the 14th and was hoping the live draft could be completed before then- much less July 12th. Anyway, the commish- Pelzer, should decide on the rounds now, so we can settle that issue.

yes, I should HOPE we fill by the end of this week, and start drafting by then. we could also expediate the beginning of the draft by just using random number generator, then we could start drafting as soon as we fill and not have to wait for next night's lottery and lose another day. those who've signed up, please check in at least once a day to see when we're starting.
I think six rounds is best with the wildcard concept for the extra round...you need to have an even number of rounds with a short surpentine draft so the people on the back end get a chance to go early in the round the same number of times as the odd numbered pickers.

As you and Randy pointed out an even # would be better so we'll go 6 rounds. That way both ends of the serpentine will get 3 #1's. So eveyone must pick either 3 pitchers and 2 hitters or visa versa and a stadium. Let's fill this puppy :wink:

Course... I am not going on vacation until the 26th of July.... but will be gone until August 11th. Hopefully we will be drafted and almost finished by then. Will be in last place anyway so will not matter. Hitting the Myrtle Beach again with the family and after about a week...... I need HAL's solace anyway. :wink:
