Would you be interested in a league like this???

Thinking of buying a team today and making up a league called, get this,

"The Six Million Dollar Man League" or "Forced Balance League"

You can probably tell that it would be a league where you could not not exceed $6.99m for any player. Whitey Ford anyone?

Crazy? good idea? Forget about it?

I don't know. The thought came to me when I was up during the night taking care of my daughters who have serious colds right now so maybe I was delirious.......

Anyway, if I can get serious interest, I will consider it. I have never started a league before so let me know basically what I need to do to get started.

Hi Dean...

All these themes are a great idea for us to continue playing without getting bored. The concept may or may not draw interest. You just need to keep it near the top of the board and try to send out a few invites in your leagues. Considering the theme is a team under 6.99M you have to use either 80M or 60M cap, with or without DH is fine and in this case probably waivers since it will attract a wider base of participates who cannot frenzy.... You can count me in so make a decision and start a list to password protect.

i.e.

1. Ruth's ruffians
2. Bobby

P.S. I will try to help fill it with you...

Dean...

You don't need to purchase a team yet...just keep this thread alive by keeping it near the top and see who adds their name. Then when we get about 5-6 names, you purchase a team, create the league, password protect and sent the password to the individuals that have signed up. So as the 5-6 managers join the league then you can open it to the public by announcing the password in this thread. But you should not mention the password on the thread until ALL the managers that signed up have actually joined the league.....Bobby

Dean, since I rarely get players over 6.99 MM anyway (except pitching), it sounds like a lot of fun. I'd be happy to join (and see if I can win with low-cost pitching).

Dean, you might want to change the Subject of this Thread to
"Six Million Dollar Man League" That way people can see what this league is all about.
