[quote:8a40e4daf7="CATom"]myne shows still only 6 in w/6 to go :(.

looking back i see i got the Indians once before, ended up 62-100!!!!!

Oh brother, where art thou?[/quote:8a40e4daf7]

Your Bodega Bay Indians have gone to the Birds!....Pun intended. You are in for a brutal season.

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to pick up a SS, a big bat and a couple pitchers? I love the franchise theme but it really needs some FA options to make it fair. I won one championship with SF by picking up Luis Aparicio and Don Wilson and a couple of decent relievers. The Giants could never win a straight up franchise league without the use of the FA wire.

Was wondering if we could add 1 player each from the 6 teams we couldn't draft from in reverse order who would you take? I keep changing my mind on who I would take 3rd if this option had existed. Of course, it doesn't but it is a way to keep this thread going while we wait. :)

MERM, CHECK YOUR PM FOR PASSWORD

The Yankees are in the Central. Now just waiting on Merm and his Astros. I just PM'd Merm again with the password.

This is a 200M salary cap league.

No one is picking my damn Yankees as a playoff team.

Thats OK, I like being in the underdog role! :)

Here are my predictions for the league:

A VERY close race in the East with the Phillies and Angels tied in the end. Phillies get in with more head to head wins.

Central: The Randy "crunching the numbers" factor comes in here. Washington will win the division, the Dodgers should be the wild card but the Bombers will take the Rookie to school and edge by for the wild card. (Sorry Midgets). LOL

In the West: Hands down the Kansas City Royals will win going away--their Pitching is head and shoulders above the rest of the division.

Yankees over the Royals in semi's in 4 games
Washington sweeps the Phils in the other semi

In the Final: Pepitone and Howard put on a homer display as the Senators win in 7 very close games

There you have it. You read it here first. good luck to all

Thanks for the kind words Pelzer. It is interesting that you think the Royals will have the best record in the league since you had the Yankees as the wild card team playing the Royals.

As you know we have a difference of philosophy. You love pitching and defense and I love those hitters :!: You believe KC will win the west based on their pitching. I believe Seattle will win the west based on their hitting.

Should be fun. I am looking forward to it.

Yep-------I think the potato man will squeeze every ounce of ability out of those Royals and with their weak division and pitching superiority W/I that div they will have the best record in the league. I agree on our different ideas (Can't spell that other word)LOL with the exception of my new thing is Speed-Speed-and some more speed and unfortunately The Angels have zip. With my superb .230 team Batting Avg. I will have to play small ball and bunt my way to victory. Heck with small ball I'll have to play golf ball with these guys. One promise from the Angels manager. Andy Messersmith will pitch so much his arm will be about to fall off when this league is done.
