Free team all time records count?

Postby Lawnchair Man » Mon Jun 23, 2008 9:26 pm

In one of my free leagues I had Dave Righetti save 60 games in the season and another two in the playoffs. Am I to assume that this record for saves (previous was 58) will not count?

Considering there is no official records page for the 1986 game, that's a tough question to answer.

However, as long as you provide a valid link to the specific team that has the record, indicating the record, and post the info and link in the correct records thread in this forum, then you'll at least have it noted in case an official records page is created.

By the way, the 58 saves you are referring to is Chick Brandom's record in All Time Greats III. The most saves posted so far in the 1986 game is 53 by Mark Clear, so it appears as though you have the record.

Why not? Just because they were free does not mean they should not count.

I assume they count.

The better question is: where do they count?

Again, there is no Records Book for the 1986 game.

I'm not keeping records for the 1986 game. I don't have the time. I'm maintaining 1969 game, 70's game, 80's game, ATG I/II/III and now IV. If someone wants to do it for '86, have at it.
