This is my 1st shot at 2001 - I missed the frenzy, my pitching suffered the most since I ranked more hitters at the top of my draft list.

A frenzy question - I looked at the league page at midnight EST and there was still one team needed so I went to bed - the next day frenzy was over. For future team selections --- does frenzy begin right after the last team joins ?

The last team posted at 23:59 est. If he added at midnight, we would have frenzied the next night. It has to fill by midnight.

Frenzy runs very early on the morning after the last team is in. So if a team closes out the league at 11:50pm ET Tuesday then the frenzy would run around 12:15-12:30am Wednesday.

If a team closes out a league at 12:05am ET Wednesday then the frenzy would run around 12:15-12:30am Thursday.

I'd almost forgotten about J. Patterson. Will be interesting to see if a Patterson/Mueller platoon can be more effective than S. Rolen. :)

If Patterson hits his body weight, I will be amazed. He sucked it up for me in a 3B platoon many moons and leagues ago. Mueller is overpriced, underperforming and injury prone...other than that, he is a nice guy. Big gamble there AT...hope it works for you. I can say you did not have many other options st your immediate disposal.

Mr Kolak, sir, I took your comments to heart and made some shifts in ny pitching and defense. Are my prospect any brighter in the West?

I agree that it is a gamble, especially with Mueller. However I have had good success with Patterson before, at New Comiskey.

266 .571 .332 with 36 HR, 89 RS & 75 RBI. I platooned him with Collier so they combined for 42 HR, 127 RS & 96 RBI. If I can get 35 HR, 90+ RS & RBI out of Patterson & Mueller I'll be happy. I think Patterson will do fine due to all the Slugger Parks

I always liked Collier in both 3B and CF platoons. Awesome BA and OBA platoon player. Patterson will have good SLG but poor BA and OBA IMO.

True - but that shouldnt be much of an issue since I'll be batting him in the lower 3rd of the order vs. RH.

Still a 3-9 record is not what I wanted out of the gates ... and with 36 games against intra-divisional opponents before I see teams in the East & Central it could be a long long season. :(

Best team record is 13 and 8. Worst team record is 8 and 13. 8 teams are either 11-10 or 10-11. Looks like this league has parity through one week.
