This is going to be really hard, but too late now I can't even take Gwynn either. :( So first pick will be The Wizard of OZ.

I was seriously considering that pill. I also originally thought that you only needed one side W. I'm glad I didn't take it...too much work involved.

Hey Ice,

I don't have any issues with you -- we've played together alot. You can't always tell what someone's tone is on the boards, but I didn't take it as "hardass" or "negative". My response was simply to let all know my feelings.

I know I have to trade somewhat lopsided, and I'm good with that. But, if I have Lowenstiens best card and you have Grubb's worst, you'd pull the trigger if I offered it up  :P

My poison will be that it will cost me more to make the trades; I'm good with that. I have never been able to take advantage in trades, and don't intend to here. I will be offering lots of trades, early and often, and I'll offer good values to make them enticing to other managers, in order to fulfill my poison.

It will be alot of fun. Trades spice up these leagues. No issues with you and me ice -- we're "cool"

We're doing the draft on Penn's site, right? Man, I LOVE LOVE LOVE live drafts.

Question: can I start trading my eight players the minute the draft starts?

Hey Sean, Remember you have to keep in mind other owner's poisons too. You can't trade Mike Witt to the team that has to have all .75 pitchers in the Kingdome. You can't trade me Jack Clark because one of his cards was with St. Louis, an 80's World Series winner, because I have the wanabe pill, etc.

This will make it a little more difficult to trade too.

LMB,

you make a good point -- all the constraints on the other 11 teams will make it a challenge to trade --- that makes it even more fun

clarification onm the raines issue...if raines has a w on the right side in say 83 and on the left side in 85 he would fit the pill. The reason the pill was made that way is for guys like aikens who would be a power hitter for that team because i believe he has a w on his left side ina year or 2.

make sense?

sean i am cool with you as well...i have no doubt of your character...i am reasoning this through as the debate goes on....it is a good point that you have the constraint of the other pills as well but it is only 8 players....shit i have traded 8 players before some seasons have started.

the thing about theme leagues is that it takes a few seasons to work out all the kinks and then when you do people are bored with the theme. i am fine moving ahead but if someone violates the rules in this league we have no leg to stand on...because we have no rule to point to TSN to say help.

So i guess i will be the last guy you are going to come to with a trade since i am going to hook up the milking machine

The draft will officially begin at 8AM eastern with the compromised 2 hour time window as I have not heard any debate to the contrary. We can make picks today when the site is set...but there is no clock running.
As for stadiums....duplicates are ok because the pills have already given us dupes
