Best start ever?

Best start ever?

What's the best start you've had for a team? My latest 2005 team is off to a 29-10 start, which would put it on a pace to 120 games!

Of course, to put it in perspective, I'd still be 5.5 games behind the 1984 Detroit Tigers!

I had a 2005 team that won 22 or 23 straight series to start a season... :D

Ok, got it figured out. Below is a link to my team, I think.

I'm the Screaming Eeeeeeeeeeeeees, still rolling along at 33-12 (.733). This team is really starting to scare me.

Yeah well my team is off to an amazing 3-0! I think this team has come a long way! Right now, I am on pace to go 162-0! That is my goal! I will have an undefeated season! Nothing can stop me!

Holy smokes. You went 17-37 down the stretch? What happened? Did you have a rash of injuries? Did you tinker with your roster?

Man, you guys are not making me feel any better.

I remember a team having a particularly impressive start -in my division mind you. Like 25-5 or something like that. Then the guy started "fine tuning" as he called it...because he wasn't getting enough production from his SS and C...eventually he traded and dropped about half the team...he ended up with a loosing record...came to the boards (Back in the old ones) and started this conpiracy theory stuff about he was stopped from winning by HAL/TSN

Ever since then I see him drop by every once in a blue moon in the "Help this team" threads and offer his "advise" which, needless to say, always starts by urging countless drops.

I don't know what to make of this, just thought of bringing up the fact that a lot of the fast starts-bad finishes come from that innevitable human quality: Greed.

Congrats on the great start! Hope it continues all the way through :D
