Hey guys, just a quick ? so I don't slow us down or anything. Does it matter that it shows that it's Woods' pick and they have until 15:01:50 EST and it is now 16:55 EST? :? Just wondering. Thanks! Sorry for what probably seems like a dumb ?, but I've never done a live draft utilizing the somdraft site.

Past precedent allows everyone to make their first pick off the clock and everyone is allowed two hours for each pick in the subsequent rounds. It is a good idea to use the proxy function to create a list of picks that will fire automatically if you aren't around when your turn comes up.

Thanks UNC! So does that mean Woods doesn't have a proxy set up then? Will our 1st picks still be able to be made manually? Thanks ahead of time for the info!

I have heard some people claim that they finished their live draft in a few days, but I've never had it take less than a week and a half. The last one I was involved in last season dragged on for over three weeks.

I was very disappointed to discover that the newly minted TSN draft interface did not control for salaries. I ran it a couple of times to see how it would do. It drafted good teams, but ran way over budget both times.

From the PT info board:

During the live draft, each player will be given 3 hours to make their pick before the draft can move on to the next person. This clock is off on the weekends and after 10 pm EST during the week. In the live drafts, you will draft 15 players and 1 stadium in 16 rounds, and autodraft the remaining 10 players. The live drafts will use the "pick 3" state lottery method to determine draft order, high to low. The draft will be serpentine style (1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12-12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1).

I'm an idiot. Just had to read a little to see the "clock" is off on weekends. I wasn't upset, just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything being a rookie and all. :wink: How does it work for the autodraft portion? I couldn't find any info on that.

I'm glad you took the time to read the instructions, LOL. I had overlooked the change from last year's tournament rules. The 16-round format should save us at least one day of drafting.
