I AM TRYING TO CREATE THE DRAFT AT PENNS SITE...BUT FITCH HAS NOT CREATED AN ID YET

fitch...need you to create an id or does penn have to add him? first time trying to create a draft site...thought i'd give it a whirl...any help?

Ice, I think you create the ID for him and give him any password. Most just use test as the password. Then let him know what his ID is. He can change the password when he gets in.

You can not pick until its your turn or if the pick time for the person picking before you has expired. Proxies are executed every 5 minutes.

To make a pick click on make your pick. A page should appear that allows you to select the players you want to see. You can do many types of searches, type in part of a players name, Select a position and range, Select a min dollar value, etc. Once you have found the player you want to pick just click on ADD

Proxies are executed in order of ROUND,GROUP,PRIORITY

ROUND --- Round at which you want the proxy to execute, if you select 0 (ZERO) then the proxies executes current round, if you select Round 2 and its your pick in Round 1 or Round 3 that proxy WILL NOT be used. Round 0 is used when you dont care about the round and you just want to execute your proxies in order of GROUP then Priority.

GROUP -- You can group your proxies, ie group 2B,CF or SPs and you can flag "Delete group if picked" to YES if you only want ONE proxies from a group of several to be used. IE I want either Lowe or RJ but I dont want both....So the proxy would look like this...

Round--0, GROUP--1,DELETEGROUP--YES, PRI--1, D LOWE
Round--0, GROUP--1,DELETEGROUP--YES, PRI--2, R Johnson
Once I get my pick of Lowe the proxies for Lowe and RJ are both removed.

Delete if Group picked --- You MUST flag EVERY player in a group that you want deleted if any player in that group is picked.

ie.
ARod group 1 pri 1 Delete - N
Tejeda group 1 pri 2 Delete - Y
A Gonzalez group 1 pri 3 Delete - N
If you get Arod, Tejeda is removed but Gonzalez is still a valid proxy.If Arod was picked already and you get Tejeda, A Gonzalez still will be a valid proxy

You have to set every player you want deleted to YES.

To create a proxies, select/filter the same way you would to make a pick. Once you find the player you want enter the player ID in the Player ID box above the find name prompt.

I would not be able to take Aikens anyways, not fast enough. That is why I thiught that I could take Raines since he had a W and at least a B stealing. Oh well it just makes my player pool very, very limited.

Will the 2 hour time blocks change as each pick is made? For example, say T.RICH picks at 10:15, would PARKAV's 2 hour block to make a pick then be 10:15 - 12:15? Or would it just expand to 10:15 - 2:00?

What happens if a person misses making a pick during their time slot? Does the draft just continue as if they had and they can jump in and make that pick at any time?

Sorry for all the questions. I just want to make sure I do things right and don't miss when I'm supposed to pick.

look through the players and if it is unreasonable then i would be open to revamping your poison to something feasible....How many players at each position are qualified for you?

I think i only have about 20-25 starters to choose from and another team will be picking some of those.

I am most concerned with the corner infield, middle infield and outfield there are plenty.

Fitch, the clock works like the NFL draft. Once a team drafts the 2 hrs start on the next team. So after two hours that team can be skipped and the next team can draft. However the skiped team can draft anytime after their window is open. For eaxmple

Team A drafts at 8am. Now team B has until 10am to make their pick. At 10:01am team C can pick because team B's two hours is up. However, team B can come back a draft at say 1pm after teams C and D have drafted. Does that make sense?

Penn's software will not automaticlly move to the next team when time has expired, but it does display the expiration time. And once the next team picks the 'on the clock' team is corrected.

The clock is typically off 11PM - 6AM and on weekends, but that is up to Ice

It is pretty easy to draft and it is fun. Just study the proxies, but use then carefully if you are a rookie or you can get burned. Some times in the later rouds when people start to use proxies 12 picks can be made in 5 minutes.

If you have questions once the draft starts just ask. I'm sure me, or someone esle will answer.

Also...once a pick is made a new 2 hour window is given to the next up in the draft as in the NFL draft

That someone is me and it will be interesting and our choices will be limited.

We could start the draft tomight and start the clock tomorrow at 6am.
