LOL what a bunch of copycats most of us are! ;)

4 Sheas
3 SkyDomes
2 Yankees
2 Petcos

Only 1 unique park in this league - Busch.

I have a feeling that RH Sluggers are going to be very easy to come by. ;)

Power players are not an option here.

Not in our division at least! ;)

Good luck to all in waivers!

I really need the waivers to go my way. That includes the rest of you dropping the right players so that I can pick them up after the waivers. So please drop your best guys and dont pick anyone up till I have had time to get my team just the way I want it. :D

This is one of those times I wish I had the CD to simulate seasons ... I made some major adjustments and am curious to see if they actually improve my team or not. Obviously I think they will otherwise I would not have made them.

HAL: Making The Worst Decisions Possible.

Postby bomp helium » Mon Jul 14, 2008 11:37 pm

ya gotta love that HAL!

On a whim I let him/it pick my lineup vs. lefthanders. In his first try, he left Bernie Williams on the bench and started Howie Clark (!), a .050, 4e11 afterthought who literally can't get on base against LHP. HAL batted him second.

In the second game, he again kept Williams on the bench, and also benched J.D. Drew, a 9.07 million superstar. HAL put Ricky Ledee (.63) in center and old Howie was back there in RF. HAL, who seems to have a soft spot for .50 players (he probably was one himself) batter Howie second again.

If anyone can explain this logic I'd like to hear it.

It's happened before with McEwing and Desi Relaford, where I had to break up the team to dump these .050 guys because HAL insisted on playing them at every opportunity.

Sure, I'm mad, but it's nothing a few beers won't cure.

But HAL will NOT be making out any more lineups.

Looks like we both rebounded from 0-3 starts to win our first series. :)

My offense has really struggled out of the gate. Hopefully that will change once Ortiz & Jeter get on track. :)
