Not having played much with this set I'm not all that versed with the ins and outs of it... not unlike how I feel about the ways of the woman... so I figured loading heavy on the shorter stack on prime * starters gives this team a soid foundation to have a shot at winning.
Keeping the seat warm for Shrinkie I felt I had no chance of landing a macro offense team like he does so that gave me another reason to try something else.
I usually struggle to get to 800 runs even when I go heavy offense so I am shooting for 600 RS :(
We'll see, you guys got nasty looking teams assembled so far. FWIW I've Missed on something like 10 players I really wanted. Last ones being Hawpe and Redman.

I'd feel much more comfy it were 80 mil with my pitching but I usually stumble in 100's.
We'll see... worst that happens is that I leave a high pick for Sandy when he returns... and I'm sure ya'll love me all the more for that ;)

OK, Way off topic, but as you know I went to Niagara Falls last week. It was a blast. The Falls I kindle to the Grand Canyon in that TV or pics can't capture the spendor. In person it's magnificent, especially on the Maid of the Mist that gets right near the bottom. It appears placid almost on top of the Falls but roaring louder than a freight train at the bottom.
The MLB games I saw were good, too. Toronto had a come-from-behind 9th inning rally in the game I saw. The Rays were in the midst of their slump so Lee shut them down in a 5-0 shutout.
Lastly, I enjoyed my first excursion into Ontario. The prices in Canada, however, are exorbitant. At the ballgame I had Chicken Fingers, my wife 1 slice of pizza, and a coke that we shared and it was over $18. I also met Detroit Tigers at the Toronto game, he was real nice.

Well... I just took a quick peek and saw I landed my boy Jimbo Thomasina... put HIM in a tutu and now we're talking!
Maybe not the most ideal 1B... but yes, he might indeed take the field if my draft keeps going in the opposite direction
