Some interesting last-minute adds & drops last night - I've got a new centerfielder, and finally found a reverse LH starter (Thanks Riggo!) -

I'm just pounding out the homeruns guys - just don't hit the ball at any of my fielders, ok? They seem to have trouble catching and throwing - damned short Spring Training if you ask me!

Glad I could be of assistance [b:d846a41a51]Kav [/b:d846a41a51]- the match-up pitching strategy didn't look so appealing after other managers adjusted their lineups....

Uh oh, watch out for luckyman! He's running away with it already!

And riggio, it doesn't look like Hollandsworth appreciated being called "Hollandworthless" by you. Man, he tore your boys up in Game 6. :P

I guess you didn't look ALL the way to the bottom of the list...my thundering lumberjacks are trailing yours (and the league) by about a hundred points in batting, slugging and OBP!

My continuing motto: No place to go but up! :D

I rue the day I invited them to play in their first league together............

My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the armies of the north, general of the Felix legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next. - Maximus

[b:0eb02ff273]EAST: cristano[/b:0eb02ff273]
His line-up has some solid platoons. Of course, it could be a weakness if
the platoon players don't hit on the right side of the card. In his case,
this would mean: if his specialists-vs-rhp (Nixon, Hollandsworth, Sweeney)
face lefty pitching. For this to happen, one would need to have lefty relief
coming after a right-handed SP. Unfortunately for the rest of the league
(and fortunately for crsitano), left-handed relievers have been largely
ignored by the other owners. I estimate that over 85% of all relief
pitching will be provided by rhp. With such an estimate, he doesn't have
to worry about his first place. Just put my hand on Guardardo for this
reason.

[b:0eb02ff273]Central: Bigmahon[/b:0eb02ff273]
Good mix of on-base, slugging, and players suited for defense and down
in the line-up. Team lacking of a truely first-hitter, but the suite Thomas-
Mora-Drew-Guillen is perhaps the most solid in the leauge. His biggest
weakeness is vs hard-throwing SP, but this group, along with lefty
relievers, is also virtually absent in this league (for a good reason, I
guess, with so many teams turning to lefty offense). At least, I've done
my part in picking up Hermanson.

[b:0eb02ff273]West: spicki[/b:0eb02ff273]
Team build on offense, in a division that is friendly to the lefty power in
his roster. Could be vulnerable vs teams that destroy lhp---which perhaps
explain the welcoming of Lowell and Renteria in his division---but even
then, he has hard-throwing rhp relievers to back-up his lefty starters, and
he has the offense to come back from behind. Could be very dangerous
in Coors.

[b:0eb02ff273]Wildcard: luckyman[/b:0eb02ff273]
I'm going with my team with the wild card. Hopefully, the Strat gods are
pulling for my team...[/quote:0eb02ff273]

...yeah, that's was before kaviksdad got Lowry+Patterson for a bunch of useless players.

It was also before cristano drops very good Osuna from his bullpen in, at a time when he had about 1M left to spend that , I thought, would be going to secure his bullpen.
