Hold it right there buster!

The no-trade deal that I signed with Willie Mays is in effect. You cannot draft Mays without prior approval of at least 3 different Giants fans, each witnessed & notarized. Please submit proof before continuing.

Hey guys, please post your teams in the separate draft thread. This thread is reserved for weasely smack-talk, as superbly demonstrated in the post above.

I think I lost my "permission to talk smack" card when I wussed out on making the first pick. I will post the team I would have drafted(though there probably would have been some changes late), once the less traveled road has been traveled and a couple of key guys in that plan are gone..........(I do carry delusions they will make it to the 12 spot at this point).................

This is my first time in this kind of league although I have always wanted to try one of them - just usually had too many other commitments to handle. Has a league like this ever been won from 12th pick, or at least made playoffs?

If memory serves, I lost a finals with an 11th seed and lost a semis with a 12th seed. I'll go back & check my other leagues, as I have done a number of these in ATGI,II & III.

I seem to recall someone winning with a 12th seed... I'll look it up. I can pretty much guarantee that that didn't happen in ATGI, though. :)

Guys, sorry I haven't checked in, but I'm going to have to bow out. All the new cards are very nice, but some really puzzle me. Also since we didn't get any rule changes...the pitching staff size for example...I think i'm done playing Strat.

it's been a great ride for 5 years and I've loved competing with all of you. i just really don't have any interest left at this time and rarely check the scores of my current teams.

Good luck to you all in all your life's travels, maybe i'll be back for version 5.

Tim

I've been in 3 of these--$60M, $80M, and $100M--and the combined record from the 12 spot was 2688-3144. No championships. One 90-win team and that was ATG 3 $60M.
