Who does everyone like to pair with Knight in a 3B platoon?

The tradition is Walling, Nettles is OK, Gardner is a possibilty, even Evers. Frankly Knight is a bit slow and thin on D, depending on your park and LH SP count, other options might be better.

Denny Walling has been effective for me. You could also look at Hebner, but I don't like his defensive.

Use Fred McMullin in a pitcher's park, at 1.08 he kills. Platoon him with Riggs (1.03).

Oh, and by the way - if you can afford it, and you have the park for it, Knight/Walling is the way to go. I use this combo in 100 mil leagues all the time. Set Walling as your defensive replacement for Knight. In a 80 mil league, this combo is a little on the pricey side.

Expensive and defensively suspect, but a Money/Knight platoon is a monster. They combined to hit .327-34-130 for me on a recent championship team in a pitcher's park.

If you are playing in a hitting park, a platoon of Nettles & Knight can work very well, and save you some money. On a championship team of mine, playing in Yankee 27, the pair combined for 33 HRs and 105 RBI in 657 ABs. Combined OPS of .871. Not bad for $3.74m, IMO. Just have another cheap 3b on the roster for when Nettles goes down with an injury. A guy that can play multiple IF positions is ideal. That way, you don't wast another .50 on JUST a 3b guy. :)

I used Knight/Riggs in Dunn.

Knight hit: .366 w/ .420 OBP
Riggs hit: .315 w/ .346 OBP

I would use this combo again in a heartbeat. :D

If I'm playing in any type of a hitters park, I'd take Wera / Nettles over any already said. They will give you 30-100 for less than 2M. Nice numbers for your 8 hole.

Buck Weaver is a good combo with Knight, Prothro, Lansford or other lefty killing thirdbasemen. He's decent against righthanders, is bulletproof, plays good defense, will do fine when your lefty killer goes down with an injury, steals bases, and is a great value.
