I vote to keep the $80 million cap. I would have drafted a few different players if we were $100 million.

Actually, Stoney, upon reflection, I would agree with you. Things may have been very different had we had a larger cap. I was just having a stream of consciousness moment, and not considering the ramifications.

AFD - be happy to give people breaks. It all depends on what kind of draft we want, which is why I posted to skip me if I don't leave proxies or make my pick on time. I had people make picks in the meantime that I woulda loved to have had.

Now ask yourself, what would've happened if V Padilla had a decent card this year & someone put up J Padilla's name after you posted V Padilla's name? Would you have asked for the pick back? Where does the buck stop?

Look, I know I am being a hardass, but posting one guy and saying sorry I meant to post another guy doesn't fly with me if you didn't correct it in the time given for a normal pick. That's just my take. I am totally fine with the pick being corrected if the group wants that, but if we are doing a 4-hour limit, then commit to that & make sure your pick is right or ask the group to go to a 1-day per pick limit. I am busy as hell at work these days too & can't check in so often, and I am sure it will cost me some players, but that's the choice I made.

I did say RP...which V.Padilla is not he's a SP with like a 5 ERA. Look if the group wants to replace me that is fine. I'm sure I didn't spell my 2b guys name right either.

Look guys, it's not a big deal. In fact, I assumed AF meant J. Padilla when I saw the RP, which is why I posted my question originally. Playing Solomon here, I would say that if someone had drafted Juan Padilla after AF's pick, then we would have to honor the picks as posted, and AF would have to deal with it. But, that didn't happen, so let's move on. In the future, make sure your pick is 100% correct as posted (it's not that difficult considering we have 4 hours) or you will have to live with your mistake. Of course, this is just my .02.

BTW - I believe that, technically, nhsteven's time has elapsed and Cummings is on the clock, since we are counting from the proxy pick of Alric, and not the missed pick of Stoney.

AFD - no one is saying to replace you or to stick you with V Padilla. The only thing I want to be clear on is that we all live by the same rules. I haven't seen you say "OK fellas, if I screw up again, I live with it." That's all I want to know.

And by the way, you're right, I am quick to judge. I made exactly the same kind of mistake in a 2003 live draft (before Penn's nifty tool) and since people had already picked after me, I sucked it up and dealt with it instead of asking for a redo.
