In the last league I played in (I was the Ninja Black Sox -- name is from Nintendo's Baseball All-Stars), you had Larry Walker. I offered a trade for him, but I think you said he was one of your top ranked picks. I'm happy I got him this time around. He provides good, but not great value. Plus, he's a pretty good hitter for St. Pete's Stadium/Tropicana.

Meanwhile we took our frustration out on the Goodguys (version VI). :wink:

Maybe - maybe not ... this team has really struggled out of the gate - not sure what the problem is (other than the fact that my offense is underwhelming). Guess I'll give it another week or so before axeing any players. :x

Ugh - this has been the road trip to "hell". Won 3 of 12, with another 6 games to go ... not that we're doing much better at home. :x :roll: :x

Looks like I'll have one more long road trip (15 games) in a few weeks, otherwise hopefully if we contine to do well at home we will be able to reach .500. :)

When I realized the streak you had going, I went back to look at those games as well as other games in the last 12. Your team actually played a tremendous series against the Tigers, winning against Gagne, and losing another game in extra innings. Looks like your team is on a roll!

Thanks! We've been on a bit of a roll so only 3 below .500 now ... got a tough 9 game road trip next - that includes visits to 2 teams that have very strong records at home.

What a nice rebound! I was confident my team would reach .500 even after the 12-24 start - just didnt expect it to be so quickly ... that 8 series win streak was certainly at the right time!
