2006 TSN Online Strat-O-Matic PREVIEW

Postby vince0501 » Thu Feb 02, 2006 12:06 pm

. Strat makes the cards to reproduce the results of a given season. For replay purposes, the cards are based on actual results, and not downgraded to project for a full season. All those guys mentioned will have terrific cards , and using them in a starting role would likely produce league leading numbers in the TSN version. In most Strat draft leagues, players are limited to 110 % of their at bats (or innings pitched), so guys like this will never see 500 AB's. That is why you won't see those guys in the online game, much like Karim Garcia a few years back was not included, even though I think he had like 200 plus AB's.

Geekor,

Patterson S6*, low hits, good OB, slightly better against lefties but pretty balance 1 BPHR/L 3 vs right

Lidge - R1/C6, good vs righties (but 2 BPHR), okay vs lefties

Politte R1/C0, low HT & OB both sides, 3 BPHR/L, 1R

M Giles, 2e14 2B, 4e37 3B. Fairly balanced hitter. 38.3 OB 40.9 TB vs left, 43.7 OB 43.1 TB right.

thanks Stoney....

Giles looks ok for what I pre drafted him for, thought he'd have more ob vs righties though.

hmmm still not sure what kinf of team I predrafted...

btw, I noticed, except for the top say 5 catchers, there isn't really anybody else, stat wise. Is there any say little gem catchers that look decent. i.e. Pratt in the 03 game, Burke in 05.

geekor...

Not sure if he'll have a card or not, but Mike Redmond has some nice #'s.

.311 BA / .350 OBP, only 1 HR, 45 games and 148 AB's.

0 errors behind the plate.
