Most of us have been drafting 24 players, spending the full 100M across those 24... when it comes time to select the 24th player, the site checks and sees that two players remain to be drafted (a 24th and a 25th player), and it "reserves" a minimum of .50M for the 25th player...

In the Reggie Smith examp... PJMB had 23 players selected, 94.81M spent... and tried to select Reggie Smith as #24 (at 5.16M, would put him at 99.97M)... but the site wouldn't let him pick Smith... because after 24 picks the site will only allow 99.50M to be spent, reserving .50M for the 25th player.

So PJMB had to draft 23 players, skip two player picks, and then manually exclude Reggie Smith...

If we had a 100.5M cap on the draft site, even if it "reserved" .50M for player #25, we could still spend 100M on 24 players and thus NOT have to exclude players manually.

Oh I get it now. Yeah, I had no clue about that. I haven't made any modifications to the drafting part of the code, only the player pool generation side. Not a bad idea to make that buffer optional if I was ever to rewrite the site.

I've been working out several ideas for my top pick teams. All offense, all pitching, speed, high batting averages, or just plain balance for wins. So many ways to go. I think I have to go nuts one way or another with my top two or three teams, and then go balance with the later ones.

Hard decisions... :D

Sorry about the delay. Site went down when I was doing it this afternoon. Had to do some shifting late as my pitching and my hitting were not looking for the same park. Hope I managed it ok with the substitution of Mays for Cobb. Really wanted all 4 .400 hitters but.....

I think I helped free up some pitching dollars for ya Rick. :wink:
