You know CFharlie you hit the point I wanted to make. It is sad because as a new player I had any number of helpful folks willing to spend time and tutor me. So, when we all tried to do the same with Trolleydodger it was sad to see that his frustrations went towards nihilism. You could see it beginning to happen. Like I said first it was pique when you wouldn't trade x or y although I did do a deal wth him. I don't think he appreciates how competitive this game is.
I am veteran of other games and basketball with SN. I got the hang of that a lot quicker. This is just hard to win at consistently. I have two teams now that were way up like 15 games over .500 and then the vets starting finding the weaknesses and now I am struggling to stay in winning territory. So, when the "death spiral" first hits you, some people panic, some gut it out and some get nasty I guess.
So, I agree that it is probably time for me to go to a password league or vet league not becaus eI am ready yet but that is where you can really learn.
So, I wish Trolley hadn't done what he did because it does kind of mess with the spirit of the league. I don't know, I played the old spinner All-Star game for years as a kid, made my own palyer's cards when I figured out how to allocate 360 degrees of chances. It was fun, but playing on-line is more fun because it is against other people. That's the point it seems to me you have to respect other folks and that means do your best even when your team is falling apart. I had a team recently with PBTR and some others where my team fell off the map, everyone passed me but hey I finished 27-8. You just cannot tell, that's the beauty.
Anyhow those of us in the league do appreciate the posts. I think we were a little frustrated at first because posters didn't understand all that had transpired.
