Just 1 More HAL Sad Story

Yes, HAL has caused me to overdose on a bottle of vicodin. It may be the fact that I was 2 out of 14 in ATG2 Finals until I recently split bringing my record to 3 wins & 13 loses. However, since this current finals is against a solid team who had virtually the same record as I did and the series is not over, I'm down 3 games to 2, I tell this story of what just has to be unacceptable HAL moves.

Starting Pitcher for the opposing team is Cicotte while I have a SP with an 8 end and a similar salary.

I'm leading in the 5th game after 7 innings, 4-2, my SP has allowed 5 hits, 2 BB and 1 ER while giving up another unearned run. In the top of the 7th the opponent goes down 1-2-3. In the bottom of the 7th I go down 1-2-3.

My SP is and 8 end, I have him set to go long which I verified was on his card.

How in the world can HAL remove him and bring a short reliever ignoring the fact that not only he is an 8 end, winning, just mowed down the side, but is my ace.

This reliever, a 9R, allows a single and a walk to 2 righty hitters. This reliever is set at avoid left handed hitters, so up comes YAZ, pitcher is kept in and gives up a 3 run HR. RP is removed and a RP who is a 1L comes in.

Question is how did HAL come to remove my SP when my opponents SP, also an 8 end, was left in for 10 2/3 innings giving up more hits and walks during the same period of time. Then how did HAL keep a 9R in to face a slugging lefty when HAL new there was a RP in as 1L.

Maybe its the 3 out of 16 finals that makes me paronoid. Frankly, I do think its almost impossible to have 16 teams reach the finals and come out with 3 wins given the salary cap factor. Seeing HAL do these type of moves really makes me wonder if all the time I take is even working given that I instructed HAL to keep my SP in and my RP to avoid lefties.

Why did HAL not bother to take out my opponents SP who had the same end factor as mine and had worse stats/

Like I said, down 3-2, I get my slugger Canseco back in game 6 and hopefully the Mantle & Gehrig dream season will end in a victory.

So true. I also hate it when you get down by a run in a playoff game, and HAL brings in your cruddy reliever, who then assures you of loss by leaving you down by 8. In the playoffs, you just might pitch your best even down by a run, or on short rest, but there is no way to get HAL to change to a different mentality. There should be some sort of 'playoff mentality' HAL can use.
