What does this number mean on a pitcher's card?

e0 #1WL pitcher-3 relief(2)/N@

As an example, this is a line from Matt Herges' card.

What does the "3" indicate? It doesn't say on the FAQ about reading
cards.

I think that's his fielding rating. For instance, that would mean is a 3e0. I don't know why they do it that way, and I could be wrong, but I think that's what it is.

Hi,

I think its the number of hitters card that is used for that pitcher.

I'm not sure what Page2 means, but I'm pretty confident in WPWang's answer. It would just make a lot more sense if they put 3e0 like the position players rather than separating the two numbers.

e0 - errors 0

#1 - pitchers' hitting card used with no DH

3 - pitcher's fielding range

(2) - innings fatigue rating

N- no closer rating

I'm pretty sure the cards show it that way since they didn't add pitcher's range ratings till quite recently. They always had the e rating in that spot, and maybe they didn't want to change the "look" of the cards???

What emm wrote is correct. I'll add (even if it's obvious):

W = weak (can't hit homeruns)
L = bats left

Hi AeroDave10,

Everyone posting here is right except what I posted I messed up on where I was looking. It is the pitchers fielding rating. I messed up and thought it was refering to the pitchers hitters card those are number 1-8. Sorry for the miss info.

No worries, Page 2. That's why SOM is great. Lots of opinions and knowledge is out there, and more than one person is always willing to share ideas. Thanks to everyone who posted on this thread!
