Holy Cow. I actually managed to get Carmona AND Beckett????

That's even better than Unit and Young last time, because both these guys are stud * starters, so half my rotation's done and I can start shopping elsewhere, fill out the back half later....still, we're talking some mighty thin positions by the time I get around to filling them, perhaps.....but an encouraging start!

yep i thought about two pitchers to start with but decided with the 72 mil hard cap it would be too risky.

I'm curious....

Akindian -- risky how? That you wouldn't be able to fit under the cap? That pitchers would leave too MUCH room? I don't quite get it.

I've spent $13.64 on my first two players...That's a hefty chunk, but others have spent significantly more. Obviously, I won't have too many huge studs in my every day lineup, but I'll still have some great players. Or one great player....

P.S. - Thanks, Meat, for removing the NL players !!

I personally was worried not about having enough cap, but what you mentioned, having enough offense.

I have a few pitcher park teams that are doing ok but they are 80mil and multi league, so have some good stud level.

Uh-Oh.....

Weasels took SO MANY proxies I ended up with a third stud * starter i Haren, who is pretty darn good and now gives me a killer rotation, but I'm starting to fret on my daily lineup, especially since my NEXT round of proxies is already so depleted! Tike Redman? AIEEEEE !!!

I was worried about not having enough offense as well, but then remembered we ran out of good starting pitching in the NL [i:427be03236]way[/i:427be03236] before we ran out of bats. May not be the best fielding team I've ever put out there, though...

we're only four rounds in, and the commitments are pretty cemented, starting pitching, or hitting. my division went all hitting, albeit different types of hitting, although curt has two stud starters and thome. glad to hear redman would have been gone if i hadn't taken him there....
