The Dark Knight League

Ye Gods....

Postby TomSiebert » Wed Sep 03, 2008 2:05 pm

I was on the fence for Stairs or Cano, and the latter goes immediately after I pick the former. Hoped Willits would linger, too -- he's a total bargain in this format, but I don't need bargains at this point, I need to SPEND. I fear for our defense. And our offense. Aieeeee!!!

Clueless on a name, too. Last time I used the lOUISIANA sWAMP tHINGS, but not sure we'll go back there.

Exactly the reason I took Soria, who will be lights out as a closer (I hope). Still need help on offense.

I went another way with the Dark Knight theme. Say hello to the Camelot Flesh Wounds.

I am glad I got Perez and Papelban because it looks like Chad Gaudin might be my #2 starter

This is killing me...at least I don't have to worry about repeating....

At least I have four starting pitchers. I'd like to get a lefty starter for the tougher lefty lineups, but the pickings are mighty slim.

Also have the 3-4-5 hitters for my lineup. It's those other six positions that may be a problem.

Got the last of the Stud Closers

Postby TomSiebert » Wed Sep 03, 2008 5:55 pm

After Street it falls off harshly IMHO; don't want a hard reverse RH closer like Accardo or Otsuka, and after that the closer ratings are minimal until you reach wild man Francisco Rodriguez at $2.7 MM.
