Centerfield...

Postby Al Hogg » Wed Sep 03, 2008 11:58 pm

...became a much tighter position than it appeared to be at the beginning of the draft because it looks like Turtle will play Granderson in left, and Meat will play Redman there.

Morning Agony

Postby TomSiebert » Thu Sep 04, 2008 5:22 am

I arise and sip my coffee to see both of the last mediocre guys at two desperate positions are gone: Tejada and Matthews, Jr. DeJesus, Tejada and Matthews were literally the three guys I had slated before my pick and they all left one by one. I did manage to get decent hitting and acceptable fielding catcher in Burke, but those three picks may have just blown up my season.

[b:05a8f52a48]AMENDMENT [/b:05a8f52a48]- You know what? I may actually just end up playing Swisher in CF and try to hit my way past the defensive liability as opposed to playing a guy who swings like he's waving a toothpick.

I am playing in a Golf Tournament today and I will be away from the computer. I have put in some proxies but I doubt that they will last. Feel free to call me at 607-244-1478 so I do not slow down the train. This draft is moving right along, just the way I like it. SGT D

turtle's either agonizing over starting round 13, or his proxies ran out. could be a slow day....

had six proxies loaded, at least two of them turned out to be mine while cupboard was being swiftly unloaded. johjima, delcarmen near the top of that list.
still lots of illegal under 1m pitchers from the n.l. on the sight. if any of the adminstrators have time while we're waiting, more weeding is needed. i excluded some of the most attractive or tempting ones...
