Got the last of the mediocre starters, a reverse righty who's had respectable seasons a couple times I've seen him this year, and now even looks like a bargain since we're playing in Yankee Stadium.

Resigned to Swisher and his 3e3(+2) in CF now that Gathright is gone. Lineup looks like this:

Vidro - 1B - 4e11
Stairs - LF - 4e3 (+1)

Swisher - CF - 3e3 (+2)

Defense is borderline horrific, with Pena the lone saving grace and hopefully prepared to turn a lot of double plays. Unlike last season, I'm pretty good on injuries: Swisher, Blake & Vidro are 600+ PA, Stairs, Cust, & Pena are 1-rating; Sheffield & Burke 2-rating; only Kendrick is a 3.

Offsetting the defense, however, our starting rotation and bullpen are formidible. I've got two of the three top starting pitchers and they're both * rating. Bullpen so far is killer, though the middle guys tire easily.

Street is total lights out vs RHers, suseptible to the longball vs. LH, but the other two guys are reverse righties.

So far, every pitcher I have is a righty in lefty-friendly Yankee Stadium, but Street is the only guy with a BPHR vs. LHers and I'm loaded with reverse lefties.

I like what I've got so far -- flawed but I believe we'll be competitive.

Best team I've seen so far seems to be Elko Al's. Three total studs -- Mags, Lowell, Victor Martinez -- with 600+ PA, and two more solid daily players -- Peralta and Matsui -- do too. Over the course of a long regular season, that will be tough to beat. Starting staff is middling, but probably good enough to win.

Giants game over (I got home just in time to see the snoozefest second half). I've got in a few proxies, we're not getting past Jason tonight anyway. G'night.

Picked up my fifth starter, Matt Garza, who will alternate with Dustin McGowan in a four-spot rotation (* pitchers Lackey, Shields, and Meche fill the other three spots).

My team's very similar to Tom's, built on strong pitching and bullpen. We have some sluggers, and a deplorable defense. My worry is the Flesh Wounds will be a self-fulfilling nickname: Thome and Ramirez have 2 injury ratings, and Buck and Izturis have 4s (I completely missed this somehow on Izturis). But as long as we can stay on the field, we should score runs.

...along with a ballpark built to suit will help my team overcome extremely weak starting pitching. Quick hooks on all of 'em! But if we march out to a lead, y'all better watch out.

This squad should keep errors to a minimum (although Beltre will boot his fair share at third and Kinsler and :evil: will get their share too, the rest of the roster will keep the total low). Plenty of BP HR's to go around. Additionally, pitching staff was selected in large part to minimize BPHR's and, if available, maximize gbA's...

Does that give too much info away? I blame the beer. Anyway, looking forward to once again gettin' it on. 8-)
