Defensive Replacement Question

Defensive Replacement Question

Postby Simon31 » Mon Feb 06, 2006 1:38 pm

If you fail to draft a backup at a particular position, and HAL inserts somebody who doesn't normally play that position, what kind of defensive rating is that player assigned? Is he automatically given the worst rating possible?

My understanding is that the person is given a rating of 5. I don't know what rating they are given for errors or in the OF for throwing.

I believe I've seen this asked before and the answer is the worst possible rating. Now, I have also heard there is an exception and this is if a guy who only plays CF moves to LF or RF, he retains his original rating.

Only HAL knows for sure ...... :?

Rules of board game allow for a reduction of 1 in range for a move from CF to LF or RF. But it is my understanding that the online game engine does not recognize this rule and any time a player plays anywhere that is not listed on his card the worst possible rating for that position is used.
