Seriously, what is wrong with HAL?

Seriously, what is wrong with HAL?

Here's a link to my team:

After 21 games, Dick Hall has not been used yet. Instead HAL has used Cicotte, and Black, who I have in my starting rotation, specifically so he won't be used. What the HAL is going on here?

Black has 1/3 of an inning, probably an extra inning usage where starters are considered fair game. Who do you have listed as setup and closer? What pitchers do you have mopup checked on? How many games has Cicotte been used in relief? Can you provide links to those games? Is relief usage set to conservative or aggressive?

We'd have to know [b:c277b0d811]ALL[/b:c277b0d811] your settings, but assuming Hall has been on your roster all year long, I'd have to agree that something is amiss .......

Like he's not recognizing that Hall is on your roster or something crazy like that.

I have my relief set to Normal, with Garber as set up and Nelson as closer. No-one is set to mop up, in fact, no pitcher has anything set on their card. Cicotte has been used once in relief, Black twice. Brusstar has pitched in 5 games and he's a 50 center. Just wondering why HAL is ignoring Hall.

Just for an experiment, I'd try setting Hall to MOPUP for a few days and see what happens. He should get innings for sure set that way.

If you do try it, let us know what happens.

If , for some odd reason, HAL doesn't recognize Hall as being on your team roster, you might try trading with somebody else who will in turn trade him right back to you. This might prove to "reset" your roster. Personally, I'd like to know how a relief pitcher can be kept from pitching. That would sure solve some tactical issues for me!

That's the thing. I go out of my way to try and prevent certain pitchers from pitching, and HAL somehow uses them more than the ones I want to pitch.

Rather than "arm testing points" I think they are just referred to as "open" hits to whatever the position is.
